Since 1994 we have been facilitating direct, interpersonal and mutually-beneficial contact between our foreign guests and their South African peers, ensuring that each programme provides in-depth experiences of Southern Africa.  Our service takes care of every element of travel, from initial itinerary design through faultless, seamless logistical and travel support services, to evaluation and reporting.  All team members have lived or studied abroad and each have between 12 and 27 years’ experience working in partnership with international travel providers.

OUR STORY

Spirit of Africa was birthed by an architect father and teacher mother who couldn’t afford to take holidays overseas.  Instead they took the more affordable and adventurous option of camping, safari’ing, exploring and scouring their backyard of Southern Africa at every available opportunity.  Out of what they saw and learnt, they wanted to share it all with the world and started our company.  Their middle daughter, enthusiastic party to all the early “R&D” of traveling, took over the company in 2003.  What this means is their Spirit of adventure, seeking fresh horizons and life-long learning, finding enriching experiences, growing and glowing under the African sun is carried through to every journey we create.
