Ride with Purpose

As the weather warms up, us Capetonians instinctively know that the largest one day cycle race in the world (and the first to be endorsed by the European Federation of Cycling outside of Europe!) is rolling around again soon!  Entries for the annual CAPE TOWN CYCLE TOUR* opened recently… and sold out again in 20 minutes!!!  That’s 35,000 riders processed in under half an hour!

But there’s an excited buzz around the office these days.  We’ve firmed up our partnership with the AMY BIEHL FOUNDATION** to host international riders as part of Team Amy Biehl in our Ride with Purpose offering.  10 days exploring Cape Town – one of the world’s favourite cities with magnificent beaches, our renowned Table Mountain, the Southwestern most point of Africa, adorable penguins, the magnificent wine route… all waiting to be explored, whilst also being able to participate with guaranteed entry in the iconic Cape Town Cycle Tour,  and knowing that your holiday funds are going towards supporting those less fortunate than yourselves.

The magnificent itinerary we have put together is a 10 day program in Cape Town, seeing the best of what this world class city has to offer, getting guests behind the scenes with the foundation’s work providing supplementary education to the impoverished citizens of the city and ensuring best-in-class experiences whilst visiting.  Guests will be assured of interactions that are unobtainable through general tourism which will leave them indelibly connected to a sense of place, with the warmth of memories that will span the years to come.  Extension options to Safari and the Garden Route complete the picture for a full exploration of South Africa whilst here.
